Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! Thank you for praying for the ministry here in Papua New Guinea. I was busier than normal during much of December as a lot of missionaries were coming and going from their bush locations and needed their computers serviced. My department moved into our new offices, and everyone is enjoying them.
I had a follow-up with the doctor regarding his leg, and it appears to be healing slowly. The doctor estimates that due to the severity of the bruise, it will take several months to heal completely. Praise the Lord we did not have to fly to Australia, but were able to treat it here locally.
This week school starts for our kids, so the holidays are officially coming to a close for them. During their break we were able to share some quality time together as a family, and that was refreshing. It was fun for Olivia to finally learn how to ride a bike without training wheels as well. She was SO excited!
Kayla is busy getting herself into everything now that she can crawl freely and explore. She has recently been learning some words and the older kids have really enjoyed trying to help her learn. She loves to say "Bye" and will point to her nose if you ask her where her nose is. Her favorite game is peek-a-boo.
Our washing machine, which was still under warranty, broke down due to some faulty bearings. Kristi spent several weeks waiting for the parts to arrive from Ohio, so she could do laundry in our home again. We were grateful to one of our neighbors who gladly offered for Kristi to come over and use their washing machine whenever we needed it. The parts arrived in near record time, even during the middle of the holiday season, which we praise the Lord for.
This time of year, when everyone is making new resolutions, I am grateful for my relationship with Christ which allows me to confess my sin and begin a new at any given moment.
What a comforting thought. We thank you for your participation in our ministry and look forward with great expectation of all the things God is going to do in PNG in 2008.
