April 23 Prayer Update

Prayer Requests:

* Please continue to pray for Kristi and the baby. The contractions are increasing, but nothing too significant has transpired yet. The doctor feels Kristi will more than likely have the baby before the due date, but if not, a c-section is scheduled for May 1. The hospital is over an hour away, so please be praying we make it there in plenty of time when the time does come. We have our bags packed! We are thankful our family can be nearby to take care of the kids during the birth. We will attempt to post pictures and notices of our announcement on our website at www.jansmajournal.com

* Please continue to pray for the renewal of our PNG paperwork. All the missionaries in PNG have turned in their initial renewal paperwork for their visas, but so far, only one application has been returned. This could cause a significant delay in our returning to PNG in mid-July if the process does not speed up soon. Since we have already purchased round trip tickets, we are praying the paperwork is completed soon.

Praises:

* We have recently had several new families commit to joining the computer department in the next two years. We thank the Lord for their willingness to leave their own jobs to help us out for a season.

* We are thankful for some recent volunteers who have arrived in PNG to help move our computer services department to a more suitable building. This will enable us to serve the missionaries more effectively.

* We are praising the Lord for good health over the past month.

* Spring in Ohio has been SO welcomed by our family! Our kids have really enjoyed being able to go outside in the warm weather to explore and have fun doing what kids do best!

Even though the kids are really growing up, Kristi still enjoys dressing the girls in matching outfits. Logan doesn't mind being the only boy, when it comes to group look-a-like pictures!

The Countdown is on...

We are anxiously anticipating the birth of our baby in the next few weeks. Please be praying for continued good health for Kristi and the baby.
