Feb 5, 2007 Prayer Update

Many of you asked for the times to pray for us...that request was more complicated than I first imagined...on our trip we stop in 6 time zones (not counting the ones we are flying over)

I thought I would help put things in perspective a bit and give you a time line that actually helps...All times are given in Eastern Standard Time.

February 2007 - Prayer Update

Thank you for your prayers for us as we near the time for our trip to America to await the birth of our baby. Phil has been extra busy the past few weeks preparing things in the computer department. We praise the Lord for providing two short-term workers to fill in while we are gone.

In just three days we will be starting out on our five day journey to the USA via Indonesia. We will board a little six passenger Cessna on Sunday afternoon your time (about the time the Super Bowl begins--- Phil and the pilot have already arranged for the ground crew to update them on the status of the game periodically throughout our flight. :) ) We will take a three hour plane ride to a border town of PNG and Indonesia. We will then take a four hour taxi drive, cross over the boarder, and stop in a town where there is a guest house. We will be in this town for 2 nights before boarding a commercial airline for an all day flight to the city of Jakarta. We will be in Jakarta just a few hours before flying to Singapore. In Singapore we will have seven hours to sleep in our "free" hotel room before departing for the USA. After a 21 hour flight we will arrive in Chicago. From there we have just a two hour lay over before boarding the plane for our final flight to Ohio.

Please be in prayer for us as we make this long journey. Phil and some of the kids are fighting bad colds. Logan has a fever and ear infection, so we are concerned for how his ears will feel during all the flying. Please pray he will not have any added pain.The kids are SO excited to get to fly in a big jet for 21 hours straight---Mom and Dad aren't so thrilled about that part :) But we are all so looking forward to being reunited with family and friends again!

We praise the Lord for paving the way and making this trip possible. Thank you for all your prayers and support on our behalf. We are excited to share with you all that the Lord has done in our specific ministry and throughout PNG during the two years we have been serving here.
